Face painting in Singapore usually costs SGD 250 to 450 for a 2 hour session with one painter, which covers about 20 to 35 children depending on how detailed the designs are. For 50 or more children, two painters for 2 to 3 hours usually cost SGD 600 to 850. Extra hours are usually SGD 100 to 150 per hour for each painter.

What moves the price
- Hours. Most bookings run 1.5 to 3 hours. Each extra hour is charged per painter.
- Number of painters. Matched to the number of children, not the number of guests.
- Design detail. Quick cheek designs keep the queue short. Full face designs with glitter and gems take longer and cost more.
- The date. Weekend evenings, public holidays, school holidays and Chinese New Year sit at the top of each range.
- The venue. Location, access and parking can add a little.
What the fee includes
The painter's time for the agreed hours, all paints, brushes, sponges and wipes, a design menu for the children, and setup and packing time. Travel within Singapore is usually included. Parking and venue entry fees, and extra paint for very large groups, may be charged separately, so check the quote.
How to compare two quotes
A cheaper quote is not cheaper if it sends one painter for 50 children. Ask every quote to state the number of painters, the hours, the type of designs, any glitter or gem add-on and the rate for an extra hour. The face painting planning guide has the full checklist.
Ways to spend less
- Book a weekday party, which is usually 10 to 15 percent cheaper.
- Keep to quick designs if the guest list is long.
- Bundle face painting with a balloon artist in one booking.
- Book early for school holiday and Chinese New Year weekends.
